I assumed all bread crumbs were the same. The ones that you buy at the store are not "soft bread crumbs" which is why your mixture seems dry and crumbly. However, I still use them but add a little bit of olive oil and whatever Italian style dressing I have in the house. I don't add a lot, just enough to make it stick together a little bit.
