cups Original Bisquick® mix
1/2
cup hot water
2
tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1/4
cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4
cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1/4
cup grated Parmesan cheese
2
teaspoons parsley flakes
1/2
teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 Heat oven to 450ºF. Mix Bisquick and hot water until stiff dough forms. Let stand 10 minutes. Turn dough onto surface generously dusted with Bisquick; gently roll in Bisquick to coat. Shape into ball; knead 60 times.
  • 2 Pat dough into 11-inch square on ungreased cookie sheet. Spread butter over dough. Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over dough.
  • 3 Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. Serve warm.

Made the mistake of not spreading it out enough and wound up with some thick flatbread! Otherwise was tasty.

I liked the flavor of the flatbread but found it much too dry. I made a half recipe and baked it in a round aluminum pie plate. Maybe someone out there can tell me if I did it wrong?

This was a nice simple recipe, the bread was a bit dry, but I think its meant to be, because it is so thin, the flavor was great!
