I thought this was very flavorful, but after following all the cooking directions and simmering about 20 minutes, the steak was still rather tough. I think the previous reviewer has the right idea.....simmering 45 minutes. I will try that next time.

This is delicious, and my family really likes the flavor. If you do want to cook it for only 20 minutes, then use tenderized cube steak instead. I like to make this in a large-covered skillet and then transfer it to the oven, and let it cook slowly for an hour or two. I also double the sauce.

EASY to prepare but presents as if it was a lot more work! I simmered the final ingredients for about 45 minutes and the steak was quite tender. I served it over rice with green peas and a salad and we really enjoyed our dinner! Will definitely cook again - - and, probably for dinner guests!
