Just finished making this salad for dinner tonight. turned out very good i did how ever cut back on the sugar and only put in 2 tbls instead of the 3 called for, tuned out great i will be adding some roasted chicken to the left overs tomorrow. grapes tomatos would be a great addition. if you are following WW one serving would be a 3pointer, i decreased the serving size and make it 7 servings out of the recipe instead of the 15 that would give you a 5 pointer..will be making it again for sure.

Absolutly delicious! Only change was that I added chicken that I had marniated in a ginger/garlic marinade. Made a ton, but the leftovers were just as delicious. this is a keeper for hot summer nights. For easy and healthy!

I made this salad for dinner and to my surprise, my husband absolutely loved it. He went on and on about how good it was and then started making dance mooves at the table. Finally, decided he wanted me to prepare it for a potluck for his job. Needless to say, it has become a favorite at our table.

Great recipe! My husband and I really enjoyed. Fairly easy to prepare. Make dressing way ahead of time so that sugar dissolves. The crunch of the noodles and peanuts add an interesting texture. I add rotissiere sliced chicken so that I can call this the "main" dish.

This was a great salad for everyone in the family. We added some quick saute shrimp for protein. The kids commented on the crispness of the salad.

A friend made the slightly less healthy version for me a couple of years ago, knowing I need lots of vegetables. She's not crazy about veggies, but loves this salad. Thanks for the healthier version & for all the great suggestions. It's an easy recipe to adapt w/ the variations. I also don't toss the seasoning packet, but save it to use instead of instant bouillon & sparingly (becuse of the sodium content)! You can experiment with different sweeteners like honey, molasses or orange marmalade instead of the sugar.

Made this for dinner last night. I didn't have any rice vinegar but did have sushi vinegar, which is rice vinegar with sugar and salt already added. I left out the sugar and salt since the vinegar I used contained them. I used citrus and cilantro grape seed oil instead of canola oil. Those were the only substitutes. Added grilled chicken breast. Absolutely delicious! Loved the crunch factor of all the ingredients. I have a container of leftovers for lunch and am curious to see how well it all held up overnight. I think grilled shrimp would be excellent in this too.

Oooh, I loved all the ideas from all the members and am writing down these new versions. I agree, this is a wonderful salad. I just don't like the taste of canola oil. Also, I have not been able to afford the red bell pepper and used the green instead. We all need vegetable gardens now a days.
