We made this last night for dinner. I thought the chicken was good. However I was looking for a stronger flavor. If some how I could ump the flavor it would be amazing. Love how the sauce gets nice and sticky on the chicken. Served it with sticky white rice and cream cheese wontons.

I make this in the crockpot. Put a whole (or pieces) of chicken in the crockpot. Mix up the marinade and pour over the top. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. Serve with rice. Yummm!!!

I absolutely loved this recipe as did the rest of my family. My M-I-L has requested it once a week. I also did what garyRed did and used fresh squeezed lemon since I had that on hand already. I think I am going to try it on pork cutlets this time! :D

Top Notch! I used fresh squeezed lemon in the marinade, and used half of the sauce for marinade (12 hrs+) and reserved the remaining half for plating and dipping sauce. Substitued Pork Tenderloin for the chicken, braized it on the grill at 500+ using the marinade for glazing. Drop the temp down to 350 and cooked it indirect until intenal temp hit 165. Sliced porked tenderloin on a slight angle about a 1" thick w/ 3 slices per serving, served glazed w/ the reserved sauce. Served w/ side of fresh asparagus, cooked on the grill brushed w/ olive oil spiced w/ equal parts basil, cilantro and crushed pepper (use foil). A side of fresh peaches and fresh baked vienna bread. - Really tasty! Just in time for the Black Hawks game! The next Stanley Cup Champions!

This is the best recipe. I could eat this on pork, chicken or beef. We added a little brown sugar to ours because we like it a little sweet.

I love anything with hoison sause in it. I was short on time, so threw a frozen chicken breast in my little crock pot, quartered the recipe, mixed up the marinade and poured it over my frozen bone in chicken breast (with skin on). Cooked a couple hours on high. Took the chicken out, shredded it and poured the sauce over since it was cooked with the chicken. Served it with lemon rice, and sauteed carrots and mushrooms (leftovers to use up) and poured a leftover tablespoon of pure maple syrup over the carrots and mushrooms along with salt and pepper to taste. Yum! I love grilled meats too so I'm sure it's wonderful marinated and grilled but if you are busy,my way is splendid too! I did use chili flavored sesame oil since I had some and like the extra kick otherwise left the recipe alone.

This is just a reponse to ciforcinelli. Yes, you can bake this in the oven at 375 degrees for 1-1/2 hours baste as you would if you were grilling. Just check your chicken to make sure it is done. I think it would actually come out juicer and tender in the oven.

suedc56...it is okay to use the marinade from the bag as long as you are still cooking it. Which in this recipe you are. Be sure however that your temperature is still getting over 165-170 before serving. Use the set aside marinade that did not have raw chicken in it for the final coating.
