I loved this! and my family thought it was amazing! I didn't use progresso soup, I used campbells mushroom soup, I don't like the chunky mushrooms, I like the smaller kind. used everything else the same and the best casserole i've ever tasted!

I don't like canned beans, will attempt with FROZEN french green beans, 1-lb bag, add a large can mushrooms, then adjust other ingredients as needed. Maybe precook beans?

This is my fav. dish to make and eat during the holidays!!!!! Maybe its a southern thing or maybe even just a Texas thing...but its a tradition in a lot of family homes down here to have it!!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!!

I add about 1/2 chopped onion and 1 small can sliced mushrooms saute these ingredients. I also use 1 2/3 cup French fried onions. I add 1 cup of these to mixture before baking. After you bake 30 mins. Take out of oven, And put reserved 2/3 cup of onions put on top of casserole and bake 5 mins.
