Dear Betty Crocker...I made this cake for valentine's and followed your recipe to the letter...it wasn't until I was washing the springform pan that I realized you left out a step...remove the wax paper before icing.

Made this for a Valentine banquest at church last night & this was a big hit. It is like eating a piece of fudge with strawberries...you can't get any better than that. Very easy to make. I definately will make this again & put it in my "keeper" file.

I was skeptical when I read this recipe. I wondered if someone had mutilated a cake and decided to use it anyway, so as not to waste the ingredients?? Who crumbles up a perfectly good cake?! Tried it anyway. It turned out beautiflly! Looked just like the picture. The flavor was yummy, however, we thought the texture was odd. It tasted like what I'd imagine smashed cake and frosting mixed together would taste like. O wait, it is. Can't figure out why so many reviewer raved over this?? I have a Fudge Torte recipe I'll make any day before this! Sorry I don't agree -- I've tasted lots of better fudge cakes. Fabulous ganache recipe though, I will use that part of the recipe again.

THE BEST chocolate cake I have ever made, i made it twice in 2 weeks and was asked for this recipe multiple times! Absolutely amazing, might try the same steps with a vanilla cake with white chocolate and raspberries and see how I go :D

This cake is the closest thing to fudge I have ever eaten. It was truly delicious but very rich. I used unsweetened good quality dark cooking chocolate which worked very well. I also froze this cake to take to a friends for dinner. The strawberries do not freeze well so I would suggest that you not add the strawberries on top until serving the cake. It is a little messy as the cooked cake did fly all over the kitchen and also a little time consuming but well worth the effort. I will probably make this again.

I made this cake and it was super delicious, every one loved it. The only thing I did differently was cut up the strawberries and put them on the side for people to put them on top themselves ... one of the people in our group is allergic to strawberries. I think that also solved the strawberry mush dilemma too. Thanks Betty Crocker! :)

I have made this twice now and both times were divine!! The second time I made it, I omitted the strawberries. I decorated the top with the white chocolate drizzle and added white chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate chips and bittersweet chips to to the top! Delicious!! Very rich and mouth watering!! Its better than what they serve in the restaurants!
