These are terrible. They look pretty but are dry and bland. Dont waste your ingredients.

I doubled the recipe and only got 16 muffins. Used a convection oven, so reduced the temperature to 400F. The result were big, pretty, dry, bland, stodgy muffins. They looked great, but the taste was a big let down. They are okay with coffee, but nothing special to make again.

Very good! Except mine didn't rise...the recipe calls for self-rising flour and I substituted that with whole wheat flour and now I have odd cookie-muffins. Doesn't mean they don't taste delicious, but I'd rather them be larger and fluffier!

Followed this recipe EXACTLY with no problems at all... Adding to it, or thinking it should or shouldn't be a certain way so you add or take away an ingredient could be a reason the recipe has failed for some. Anyways, made this for Mother's Day Brunch and she loved it...

Melt-in-your-mouth...these may be the best muffins I have ever made! They did not sink in the middle, they looked lovely, and tasted even better. I used a little extra cinammon in the dough to give it more flavor. For those of you who thought the batter was too thick and added extra milk or water, this is probably why your muffins sank. Don't worry if your batter is thick; it is supposed to be that way. This will definitely become a favorite recipe for our family! Thank you betty crocker!

Was so excited to make these and when I put my dry and wet ingredients together, I panicked and ran to look at the recipe thinking I misread 2 cups of flour. Slightly lumpy!? They looked like a thick bowl of oatmeal. I decided since I went to the trouble to throw it together, I'd cook them anyway. The flavor may turn out ok, but the texture is going to be so thick they'll be like a rock sitting in your stomach. Disappointed.

I've just made these and am very disappointed. They didn't rise and the tops are smooth, not a bit like the photo. The middles are dry and tasteless - should there have been a raising-agent added? Definitely anything but "Melt-in-your-mouth"

This recipe is real bad. It was like cookie dough. Not exagerating. I added water to make it like muffin batter. When they are in the oven, they didnt rise even though I used self-rising flour. I dont know why. They didnt really cook either, it was like dough in the middle. They didnt taste horrible but they didnt really taste good. Won't be making this again

Instead of coating the muffins after they were cooked, I sprinkled the cinnamon sugar mix before putting them into the oven. I really enjoyed them. They really reminded me of coffee cake.
