I just prepared this recipe to celebrate the birthday of a good friend and it turned out beautifully and delicious. I would like to also say that prior to prepare this recipe I baked one from scratch from a "famous" TV chef and the recipe was a total flop and I had to trow it away uncooked. I was in the brink of tears, but I remember my good friend always reliable Betty Crocker...and good enough she got a home run for me!!! Thanks a lot!!! from your forever friend

I have been making this recipe for years, but it never occured to me, until I saw the picture on this web site, to think "outside the pineapple rings" and place the extra Maraschino cherries in the spaces between the rings! I just assumed I had to eat them separately. BTW, this is really good comfort food, and so easy to make too.

This cake is great, but I'd have to recommend using light brown sugar rather than dark brown, it's prettier that way. Take my word for it.

This is my first time making a pineapple upside down cake & it looks just like the picture, but most importantly, it tasted fanastic, I was soooo pleased! Made it for my brother who said he'll never eat store bought again. Thanks Betty for creating an easy, tasty recipe!

This was so easy. I lessened the sugar a little by using the Splenda Brown Sugar mix. It still tasted awesome.
