I made this cake for my daughter's birthday. I used an 8 inch round pan instead of the 9 inch round and it worked out fine. I put the cake on a dinner plate and decorated it there, it worked out wonderfully! There was even space to put princess figurines in the space between the cupcakes on the bottom level. I couldn't find confetti sprinkles, so I used sugar sprinkles instead. It turned out great and I received many compliments!

This recipe has been a real big help to me during family parties. All I do the night before is make the cupcakes, no frosting, and the bottom cake, no frosting. The next morning before the party I ice the cupcakes, and cake, and stack them into a beautiful, edible piece of artwork. Thankyou Betty Crocker for making my family gatherings less of a hassle.

This was a hit and has that "WOW" factor for the kids (and adults!). It was extremely easy to make and put together. I pulled the cupcake papers off before stacking, because I thought it would be less messy to serve. Also, I noticed some of my cupcakes started to slide a little. Once stacked, I placed it in the refrigerator for a few hours and it really seemed to set the cupcakes in place. I would definitely make this again!
