I made this April 3rd to celebrate National Chocolate Mousse Day! It was delicious! I love mousse and had doubled the recipe in case there weren't really 8 servings. There WERE really 8 servings so I had 16! It's all good, though, because I had enough to liberally share with family and friends. Only warning I would give is that my whipping cream in the mixer went from very soft peaks to overwhipped in a matter of seconds. If you mix until the peaks are "stiff", it might get overwhipped. Still tasted great, though. I froze one portion to see how it would hold up and when I thawed it out the next day, it was great. Thanks!

So Good!! I decorate cakes and often use this as a filling! I only had mini choc chips one time, and they didn't melt all the way, giving the mousse a fun texture! Couldn't stop eating it!

tried this for the first time and well i guess i maybe the only one that messed this up. i beat in the 1 1/2 of the whipping cream but it did not get stiff. how long did i have to blend or what did i do wrong?

This was amazing! I loved it so much i couldn't stop eating it. That being said, I think next time I'll try using dark chocolate. I like chocolate best when it's so rich I can only eat a small amount at a time. Either way, so good!

After making a marble cheesecake, I made this to use the left over whipping cream, did not have chocolate chips but I had some darck chocolate baking squares, I chopped up the chocolate in small pieces and it turned out so rich and smooth that my fiance got a lovely chocolate high. This works well to use on top of a cheese cake, maybe even a chocolate cake, or cream pie.
