I used Hershey buttons for the center of these cookies which turn out like a walnut shortbread. They are pretty but were a lot of work to form. Not sure I'll make these for my trays next year but mostly because I found several other great recipes to use instead.

These were a hit at my cookie exchange. A word to the wise, please be sure to bake these at 350, my daughter tried the first batch on her own and burned the bottoms, 400 is way to high!!!

These were a huge hit for our christmas gifts last year. The teachers loved them & my daughter had a great time making & eating them!! We are making them again this year.
