1
can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
2
tablespoons orange juice
1/2
teaspoon almond extract
1 1/2
cups Original Bisquick® mix
1/2
cup whipping cream
1
tablespoon sugar
1
tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
1/4
cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1/2
teaspoon sugar
  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. In 1 1/2-quart casserole, mix pie filling, orange juice and almond extract. Microwave uncovered on High about 4 minutes or until bubbly around edge; stir.
  • 2 In medium bowl, mix remaining ingredients except 1/2 teaspoon sugar with spoon until stiff dough forms. Drop dough by 6 spoonfuls (about 1/4 cup each) onto warm pie filling. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon sugar over dough.
  • 3 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Serve warm.

Expert Tips

For more sparkle, sprinkle with 1 tablespoon coarse white sparkling sugar instead of the 1 teaspoon sugar.

A dollop of whipped cream would be yummy on top!

RE Firegal: Andi, on of our Kitchen Experts, said: Use milk + 1 tablespoon more of butter. If no milk either, use non-fat dry milk mixed with water and add a couple of tablespoons of butter. If no butter, use oil – but we can’t guarantee flavor or texture.

@Zaboosmom--check step two. It says to add remaining ingredients except for sugar. I believe the chocolate chips would qualify as one of the remaining ingredients. Chocolate and cherries...good combination.
