I agree withPGannaway. I never use all that cream. I just use regular milk.. you don't need all that cream with the cheeses. It turns out beautifully.

You could reduce the fat and calories on this receipe by using 1 or 2% milk or even whole milk - I love cheddar Potato Gratin but would not make it with cream, half and half etc - way to much fat and calories - Betty Crocker - you disappoint me!
