This is one of my favorite desserts to make! It is extremely rich & delicious! I add the cajeta at the same time as the evap. milk so that it actually dissolves while it heats up otherwise it doesn't dissolve very well. I also use brandy extract for this dish. This is a great alternative for regular flan, I call it cajeta flan and everyone always ask about the recipe!

this dish tasted amazing however i have gone to mexico and the real cajeta tastes so much better and if you want a really mexican dish buy dulce de leche from la lechera or buy cajeta coronado those ones taste really mexican
