This bread is a delight. Perfect for a novice baker like myself because the recipe is pretty simple. I love the glaze on top -- makes the loaf look and taste even more delicious.

Made this bread and it was so wonderful. Generally, in baking, you can't substitute splenda for sugar unless the recipe is specifically modified for splenda or the 1/2 and 1/2 splenda. The sugar cause the other ingredients to "react". 1 TBSP of sugar isn't much as far as calories go considering it's a loaf of bread.

I made this today. I followed the recipe except I replaced the sugar with Slenda, but my bread never rose. It smells wonderful and can't wait to taste it. Just don't know what went wrong? Any ideas?

I made this bread for Easter (without the glaze). I made the lime-scented cream cheese to go with it. My family LOVED it and so did I! The bread is delicate. The lime is lovely - nice citrus flavor and very smoothe. I have just finished making a couple for a family brunch. I use 2 tablespoons of lime juice instead of 1 in the batter. I make sure to use the right sized pan because it is a smaller sized loaf. I tried doubling the recipe for a bigger one, but that didn't work at all. So keep to the basics and enjoy this lovely, lovely recipe. The buttermilk is non-fat, which I also love about this recipe.

I loved how simple and time conscious this recipe is. The only thing I would change is to flip it out of the pan before appyling the lime juice and sugar glaze. Once glazed the top is very sticky and will stick to whatever you flip it over on. That being said it's the perfct breakfast bread.

This was amazing!beyond delicious! You can easily replace the lime with lemon (replace with the same amount) also when i made it i added in 2 tbs to the bread itself and left 1tbs for the glaze. Also to add a healthier twist you can replace all of it with whole wheat flour, and it will still tase amazing!

This bread is easy to make and wonderfully refreshing. The lime is just the right twist for those hot summer days when you need a little kick.
