I tried this in my Welbilt and it didn't get cooked all the way. The next time I mixed all the wets, added the dries, and cooked in a greased and floured bread pan on 350 degrees for one hour. Turned out perfect! (tried to give a 4 spoons rating but it wouldn't change from 3 spoons)

I tried this today. I know I did something wrong because the loaf was only 2" high. I have a Hitachi Bread Machine. Any ideas?

Excellent flavor, dense and fragrant. I added 1 teaspoon of baking soda in addition to the 2 teaspoons of baking powder it called for. Everyone likes it. However, I will not make it in the bread machine again. It took too long. I have a Regal Kitchen Pro machine, it's about 15-16 years old, works great but the "quick bread" cycle is 2 hours long! I could have popped it in the mini-loaf pans and had bread 15 minutes later.

Success! This was my first recipe to try in my bread machine. It turned out perfectly -- rose properly, had a great flavor and texture, and as a bonus made my house smell of clove and cinnamon for the entire afternoon! The only thing I would do differently is to add just a touch more cinnamon, but that's just a preference of mine.

yumm! This was so easy and tastes great! I was worried because a few people mentioned the dough didnt rise so to be safe I added 1 tsp of baking powder and it was so yummy!

My family totally loved this recipe. I just got a bread machine and this was my frist bread. Even though it said that the eggs, and everything else should be room temp. I just went with the flow and put all the ingredients in and made the bread. It worked out just fine. We had it with dinner and the bread was gone before seconds were served. Can't wait to make it again.

This is a very delicious recipe, and very simple to make. What confused me is the "Total Time" says 3H 10 Min so it made me think that possibly I should have set the bread machine for the basic or white bread cycle. I used the Quick Bread setting on both my Oster and Sunbeam-the Oster has three minutes longer cooking time and I was unable to set the crust setting. On the Sunbeam I set the crust to light. Both loves came out great and rose just fine. I used the Better for Bread flour and followed the directions exactly. My tips are to let the eggs come to room temperature, and mix the dry ingredients together first.

no rising...it smelled good and I thought it would taste good cause the batter was good...but the bread was really heavy. I will try again with the tsp of baking soda and see how that turns out.

The first time that I made this, it did not rise at all. The quick bread recipe in my Sunbeam bread machine manual calls for 1 tsp of baking soda in addition to the 2 tsp baking powder, so I tried it again adding the 1 tsp baking soda and it rose very nicely.
