I thought these turned out FANTASTIC. I agree with the others though, the mixture is a little crumbly and found it a little hard to spread the jam because of it. I don't know if you mixed the butter in previously if that would help. I also don't know how long I cooked mine as my timer quit halfway. I followed the recipe to the tee. I will definitely make these again only I will try to use light butter.

My daughter & I just made these and had a great time. She really enjoyed mixing the butter in with her hands. However they don't seem to hold up like a bar, they are too crumbly. Also they are about 200 calories for a tiny (bite sized) square. I also had issues with the baking time / browning. I made mine in a 13 x 9 pyrex dish and at 32 minutes they looked unbaked. I cooked an additional 2 minutes and the edges were almost burned, but the center didn't look as brown as I would have liked. Maybe 375 is the answer? I don't think I will be making these again.

This may have worked out better if the butter had been pulsed in a food processor first with the sugar and the flour and then incorporated the oats and almond after. I had to bake for 40 minutes to get a golden top so next time I would consider 375 degrees instead of 350. Not sure I would want to make this gain

I did the blueberry version of this with blueberry preserves as well as fresh blueberries. It tastes great and I brought it in for a morning brunch at work and everyone loved them. It would also be great a la mode! Kind of reminds me of blueberry crisp in a bar. I will make again.
