An easy recipe to make and the banana bread was great even with the sugar substitute I used. No one was a fan of the frosting though. Since it called for cream cheese, it was slighty too sour for our taste. I added a little of the sugar substitute to the frosting to sweeten it up a bit but I dont think the cream cheese was a good match. We ended up not using the frosting. For bars, the pan size is ok, but beware not to overcook. I suggest subtracting 2 minutes from the cooking time and check on them every 30 seconds until done to your liking. I subtracted 1 minute from the cooking time and they came out slighty overdone, dark and not moist but still soft. 3 spoons rating for the as-is recipe because the frosting is just not a good choice.

Great recipe! Everyone loved it. Easy to make. I used 3 bananas giving it a more banana-y taste.

Recipe called for 13x9x2 pan. I think it should have been a smaller pan. The bars came out thinner and darker than I wanted. The icing was not as sweet as I wanted either. I Give it 3 spoons because my guests liked them and was a simple bake.

I had some ripe bananas and came across this recipe which I love. Very easy to make and taste great too. I am an adventurist kind of cook and baker and split the recipe for cream cheese frosting into thirds. One bowl I added chocolate morsels. The second I added pecans which I toasted with brown sugar and cinnamon. The third section I frosted with the plain cream cheese frosting then put a couple of teaspoons of raspberry jam in a sandwitch bag cut off the tip and piped on scraped frosting bowl and mixed peanut butter and dolloped on raspberry section. Cant wait to make and create again.

made these for the first time ever tonight.. SOO yummy! only problem is the icing didn't come out very thick. I added more sugar to it too. Might have been the butter.. I don't know. Anyway they are very yummy and VERY easy to make. I will be making these again!

OMG!! I made these for my diabetic husband with 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1/2 regular. I substituted Splenda for sugar. I wanted to use unsweetened applesauce instead of the oil, but I was out. I used a container of Pillsbury Sugar Free Vanilla frosting on top and YUM! These WILL be made again and again! You'd never know they were diabetic friendly.

Absolutely delicious!! For the icing, I used 8 oz. whipped cream cheese and added 2 heaping tbs of Nutella to the mixture, and it was sooo decadent and creamy! The bar part of this recipe is so moist and very good. This recipe is for sure a keeper :)

Excellent and easy to prepare! It was a hit with my husband and my 3 year old! I cooked it in a glass pan and cooled it in the fridge to speed up the process :). I chose this pan because it has a lid and I can avoid messing up the delicious frosting (for the reviewer who wondered how to best store them.) The recipe said 3 oz of cream cheese for the frosting which I think may have been a typo since it said "a package". So, I used all 8 oz, and it turned out great.
