I made these last night and they are actually pretty good. Yes, they are a tiny bit dry and have the consistency of a cakey donut, which I get with all baked donuts, no matter the recipe. I did not have a mini donut pan, so I just used my regular size donut pan. I doubled the recipe (I thought if it made 12 minis, I would get 6 regular size without doubling) and ended up with 21 donuts. I topped mine with the peanut butter glaze and then put regular sized semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter chips. Hubs said he would have liked it better if they were a bit sweeter (a bit more sugar perhaps?) and next time wants me to use milk chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet (hence the 4 spoon rating). My three boys liked them quite a bit and all of them have asked me to make them again sometime. This recipe seems very versatile with quite a few possibilities!

Was not impress with this recipe. They do not taste like doughnuts, but rather dry cake. Thumbs down from all family members. Don't waste your time!
