Enjoy chili with a nice piece of corn bread? Then you’ll love this dish! The corn bread bakes on top of a slow oven-simmering chili.

This was very good and easy to make, I served it with sour cream and it was better for it!

Very good! used black beans instead of ground beef, can of pettite tomatoes with garlic, onion and green pepper, used jiffy cornbread, all stuff I had on hand. A lttle mexican cheese on top when done. Will make this again, but will add more chilli powder! So versitile and easy!

Excellant goodie! Added more Chilli powder for the kick! Next time I will also put onions and black olives in the hamburger! Also recommend Mexican 4 cheese's for the top!

This was very simple with lots of flavor, not to mention very economical. The only thing I found while making this is that one 14 1/2 ounce can of petite diced tomatoes is about 2 cups and is the perfect size and amount for this recipe. Also, next time I make this I will drain the diced tomatoes as I thought it left too much juice in the bottom of the casserole for my taste. It did not ruin the recipe, it's just a personal preference. Very good recipe, we enjoyed it.

I think that it would be the best if the tomatoes were drained and Jiffy cornbread or muffin mix was used instead of generic cornmeal mix, and ease up on the corn by 1/4 or 1/2. All in all my husband and I enjoyed it.

I've tried similar recipes from different websites and this is the best.

Very good and easy to make. We liked the corn instead of haviing beans in the chili. I liked that I made the cornbread without a cornbread mix making this recipe even more economical than I first thought. The chili powder was more than I usually used, but with sour cream it was just right.
