I have been a Veterinary Nurse for almost 24 years and would substitute most of the ingredients in this recipe. Although some dogs, like people, may not have reactions to the ingredients, I suggest the following substitutions. Almonds, like most nuts, are high in fat and may cause intestinal upset. Replace the almond butter with a pureed apple, mashed banana, carrots or a sweet potato. Dogs do not digest lactose properly, coconut milk or coconut water may be used instead of milk. I replace rice flour to avoid the complications of a wheat allergy.
