"We made this and used imitation lemon juice because of hubby's citrus allergy. We put butter on everything...shrimp, corn, and potatos. I thought the potatos were a little soft but they were soooo yummy! The corn held the spiciness but with the sweetness of the corn, it was delicious! During Lent, we'll definitely pull this out to whip up. YUM YUM! I'm actually excited to eat this as leftovers tomorrow!"

"We used 5 cheese tortellini from Cosco. Yum! YUM! The beef just melted in your mouth. We aren't huge fans of carrots and we couldn't find just a single carrot so we bought a bag of the little ones and used the equal to one carrot. The little carrots seemed to give it a sweeter taste that was nice with the spices. The little ones also didn't get mushy to our surprise. The frozen green beans were good but we're going to try fresh green beans next time. Definitely a recipe that was worth the wait!"

"If you're a fan of beer, you'll love this dish. I am not a fan of beer but still loved this dish---I tried it with the popcorn and liked the added crunch. My husband didn't care for the dish at all. BUT, he has had two other baked mac dishes recently before we made this one and he said this recipe beat them both by a mile. Hubby in the cook in the house so we probably won't have this one again."

"This was not a good recipe. The tastes between the casserole/spinach part and the porridge/polenta part didn't mesh well at all together. By itself, the polenta was good...reminded us a bit of Cream of Wheat. But, that taste shouldn't have been paired with Spinach and Beef."

"These tasted wonderful. The only problem is that when they were made too thick ( I did use a 1/3 cup to judge the quantity) I couldn't mold them (squish them) into patties without having them fall apart. BUT, my husband did like the taste and said that we would have to have them again. Maybe I'll try as a crumbled salad topper next time."

"There isn't a word for how good these taste! The only negative was that a 1/2 pound cooked up and split between two people makes a small burger...Next time I make these, I will double the recipe... Oh, and my husband was trying to prove a point about ingredients in a recipe and the amounts not having to be exact...So, he playfully threw in a bit more lemon juice. To my surprise it added a tangy and juicy twist without being overpowering."
