"I've made pumpkin bars for years but have never tried it with Bisquick. I'm going to try this version. I sometimes put chopped walnuts in mine along with the raisins. I rated a 5 since we love pumpkin bars. The recipe I have used is more like a cake too, but I put mine in a cookie sheet & bake them, then cut in smaller pieces that look like a "bar". I add a little extra powdered sugar to the frosting recipe to make it a little firmer."

"I make this often but I use diced hash browns chicken, 1 can of peas & 1 can of carrots, drained. I also add 1 can of cream of celery soup to mine. I usually make my crust like I would the bisquits but roll it out thin & line a pie tin or plate with the crust, fill with the veggie mixture & make a top crust on it. You have to roll the crust thin since the Bisquick rises & you have too much crust for the pie."

"I made these a few days ago.. they were very good. I didn't make the 1 long loaf as stated..I just took a handful of the mixture & made the mini loaves. I also added a small chopped green pepper & a shredded carrot to the mixture."

"To Mitzimom, I take apple juice & thicken it with cornstarch & then add fresh apples, & add spices to taste instead of using canned apple pie filling. "
