I am so disappointed to find out your Rainbow Chip Frosting has been discontinued!!! I loved this frosting!! I could eat it right out of the can!!! Please, please bring this back!!! No other icing is the same!!! The sprinkles are not the same!!! Unless this icing comes back, don't think I be buying your brand again!!! You will loose customers for sure!!!!!!!!

Update-The sprinkle cake was disappointing. I won't be making another in the foreseeable future. I wanted to add that I actually had a rainbow chip cake on one tier of my wedding cake. It was the best I've ever had.

It pisses me off that this isn't available anymore. It's really the only store frosting I like. No, putting some sprinkles on top is not the same. I guess we will have to wait for another company to start making this.

I am very disappointed after reading the comments below. The party chip cake and icing was the only boxed cake my family would eat. I usually make everything from scratch but we just loved this. I can't believe you discontinued the frosting. There is no point for the cake without the rainbow chip frosting. I have been looking everywhere for it. Not a good decision!

Due to you not providing rainbow chip frosting, I had to recreate it and found a great recipe that honestly tastes the same if not better. I refuse to support betty crocker so I bought Duncan Hines Classic Vanilla and then chopped up white chocolate into very small chunks which I dyed blue (which also dyed my icing blue). Anyway, the result was a great substitute to your rainbow chip frosting and now you may have lost my business forever. Congrats!

Dear Betty Crocker (trademark of General Mills company), It would be great if you would review all of these comments from your consumers requesting you bring back the Betty Crocker Rainbow Chip frosting product that you so quickly discontinued. I definitely think after reading all of the below comments and recently finding out that I can no longer purchase this product after doing so for so many years it is quite disappointing from a consumer perspective. I believe a lot of people flocked to the Betty Crocker brand just for this product, and from market perception I can see a potential shift in brand loyalty. The General Mills 2014 10-K section regarding "Our results may be negatively impacted if consumers do not maintain their favorable perception of our brands," specifically the portion referencing "our products becoming unavailable to consumers" is a statement that from reading below seems to be the case. I am not sure if the purpose was centered around a business marketing move to potentially re-release and skyrocket sales from consumers being scared that you will pull product again or what, but from a business perspective your marketing and sales teams should probably re-consider the impact you are creating on your consumers, brand identity, and loyalty. - Just a fan of the rainbow chip icing that you decided to discontinue, not sure why...

Honestly, what's the point in selling the cake still if the frosting which was the best part isn't available? Very disappointed! By the way, Rainbow sprinkle frosting has (and will) always be available without Betty Crocker! We can all add sprinkles to our cake without you providing a handful of them in the top of the lid. There aren't enough in the lid for an entire cake anyway.

Well, super disappointed to find out the rainbow chip frosting has been discontinued. I've been driving store to store for months trying to find it. It was the only frosting we like in my house. I guess I will have to try the recipe I saw online and make my own. Sad sad day, hope you bring it back, the sprinkles are no good!

I really REALLY miss your rainbow chip frosting. It was a staple in my house growing up and as an adult, I used to make cupcakes with Rainbow Chip frosting as a comfort food! PLEASE bring it back!!!

I will be adding to the many fans and lovers of the rainbow chip icing! Every time I go into the store I pray to find just one last rainbow chip icing on the shelf again! I miss it sooooo much and don't understand why you would take away the most popular and best icing ever!!! It was def a hit with all ages... Elderly, adults, teens, and young kids! I remember baking 3 dozen cupcakes at every cookout just for ALL of them to be eaten by the end!! Please please please bring rainbow chip icing back!!!!! It's depressing to know that I can't go to the store and buy one thing of it!!
