You can have cake for breakfast, right? Well, if you never thought you could before, you can now! We went crazy and layered nine pancakes with sweetened whipped cream, chocolate syrup and sprinkles for a fun, non-traditional birthday cake.

Here’s what you need: Original Bisquick® mix, eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla extract, chocolate syrup and candy sprinkles.

Pancake Cake

Start by making large pancakes. We used a 1/2-cup measure.

Once all the pancakes are made, allow them to cool to room temperature. Meanwhile, you can make the whipped cream frosting that will be layered between each pancake. For best results, make sure the cream and bowl you will be using are cold. We like to place them in the fridge for about 10 minutes.

Add one tablespoon of sugar and some vanilla extract to the cream; beat until stiff peaks form.

Now, you can assemble the cake. When layering each pancake, add some whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.

Then top the whole thing with a big dollop of whipped cream and candy sprinkles. Enjoy this festive cake on your birthday or any day!
