I am 36 years old and my mother has been making these every Christmas morning since I can remember. My Mother just passed and this is one recipe that will continue until I meet my Mother again. Awesome recipe!!! Brings back many great memories for me. I do remember my Mother always telling me to use less bisquick for this recipe.

I have made these many times and every time they are a huge hit. When ever a party or gathering is coming near someone always requests these. I highly recommend them.

We enjoyed these with pasta sauce. I used country style sausage but next time I'll use italian style or even hot sauage.

My husband is very picky on food and he loved these. I made them the night before the party and heated them back up in a crock-pot the next day which also kept them warm for hours on low. At my family's request, I made another bache just for them a few days later.

We used to have these every christmas eve when I was growing up and I continue to make them for my family. My recipe calls for 2 cups of bisquick and 2 cups of cheese but I find them too dry that way. I usually just mix in enough bisquick to hold them together (maybe a cup or so) I can't imagine putting in 3 cups of bisquick! I've never added rosemary. I usually make them ahead of time and freeze them on a cookie sheet then transfer to a bag until ready to bake.

So Good!! I changed the recipe as well. I used 1 lb turkey sausage, only 1 cup bisquick, and cut everything else in half. They turned out fanastic and not too doughy. It ended up making 46. Will be making again!

My mom has been making these since I was little and now I'm making them for my family and they are great! My husband never had them growing up, so the first time he had these, he was blown away! If you like it doughy and bread like, use 3 cups, if not, then use 2 or fewer cups, I use milk as listed, some don't, experiment with ingredient quantities, its a very forgiving recipe, sausage and cheese melted and rolled into a ball, how can you go wrong! I use Neese's Extra Sage sausage and leave out the rosemary.

This is an old time favorite. I took it to a pot luck many years ago and every time we get together, my friends request these. Over the years I have played with the recipe. I now use a combination of sweet and hot sausage, blend the ingredients by hand(the warmth of the hands combines the ingredients quicker) and I make smaller balls,(one bite). Thet are always a Hit!

I've been making these to take to family stuff for years now and they're always a big hit. We had some at a get together Saturday and they barely made it to the party! I follow the recipe exactly like Betty Crocker says and it does take a long time to mix but they're worth it, especially if you have lots of hungry guys to feed. Use some parchment paper and there's not even any clean up :)

These are delicious. I only used 2 cups of bisquick. Any more I think would have been too dry. I thing next time I will only us 1 3/4 cup. I combined hot & sweet sausage.

My aunt gave me this recipe many years ago. However, I do use less Bisquick; 3 cups makes them quite dry. I use about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 cups Bisquick. Excellent dipped in a sweet sour sauce or barbecue or your favorite dipping sauce...even Ranch!

I made these tonight and we liked them--I did just now read that people who make this a lot use less Bisquick, which I will do next time. I used a medium spicy sausage and we used a cold raspberry chipotle sauce for dipping. Two things I did was use latex gloves for mixing and rolling them, and on the last two pans I used foil to do an easier clean up.

THESE APPTEZIERS SEEMED LIKE THE PERFECT THING TO HAVE- BUT THEY ARE VERY DRY WHEN YOU EAT THEM AND A BIT MESSY TO PUT TOGETHER. I WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THEM

This is great, easy and quick. My husband asks for this all the time. He even takes the leftovers in his lunch box to work. Reheated in the microwave they are great and everyone at work wants him to share after they smell them.
