so it takes the same amount of time to thaw than to whip fresh cream.

The hint for whipping cream ahead of time and freezing it is a great idea. We use dollops of whipped cream on jello, cream pies, cake slices, fruits, puddings, so I found this a very good hint. This freeze ahead idea is great for when friends stop by, no mess and just a few minutes thawing time before adding to their desert!
