Fall in Love with Your Baking Stone

There are two big reasons why I love my baking stone:

1. It cooks evenly. When preheated properly (for at least 30 minutes at 400 or more degrees F, depending on what the recipe calls for), the baking stone is like an extension of the oven.
   
   
2. It creates irresistible crusts. Whether you are making rolls, bread, pizza or something else, baking on a well-heated pizza stone gives baked goods a crunchy crust that gives way to a soft, airy inside.

I use my baking stone most often for homemade pizza. But it’s also great for breads, rolls, breadsticks, calzones and so much more. Even if you don’t make the dough yourself, try cooking on a baking stone anyway. The results are dreamy!
