Candy-Infused Vodka

Posted By Inspired Taste
March 23, 2012

Be your own mixologist and make vodka flavored with candy.

You don’t need to spend a fortune at the liquor store to stock your bar with flavored vodkas. It’s a breeze to make your own at home with assorted chewy candies!

Candy Infused Vodka

Here’s what you need to be your own mixologist: Vodka, fruit-flavored candies, mason jars, coffee filters, a funnel or measuring cup with spout and 8.5-oz flasks.

Candy Infused Vodka

Start by adding one color of candy to each mason jar. To each jar, pour in 8 ounces of vodka.

Place a lid onto each jar, close tightly and shake vigorously for 20 seconds. Let stand for about 3 hours.

Now, filter each candy-infused vodka with a coffee filter.

This can be a slow process due to the buildup of sugar from the candy. It may be necessary to poke a few small holes into the coffee filter for an initial filtration. Then perform a second filtration with a clean filter. If sugar residue remains after the second filtration, filter again or skim with a spoon.

Carefully pour an infused vodka into each flask.

Store in the refrigerator until ready to use. Or add a cute tag and give as a gift. Our friends at Quite Like It Design were kind enough to design a tag for us and even allowed us to share it with you. Here is a link. All you need to do is print and cut out!

Everyone needs to chill...just like everyone is allowed to have an opinion! If you have an interest make and drink it....if you would rather not than don't. I don't keep liquor in my home either but I still drink on occasion and use alcohol for cooking. To each his own! EnJOY!

The recipe sounds wonderful, but my question is what would you drink this with? 7up? Tonic?

I can't wait to make some! I use to make home made wine, many years ago.I going to be visiting my daughter, family. We put the grand babies to bed and give the Infused candy Vodka a try. Heck we may end up with a buzz and sleep like a baby. lol

This sounds great!! I like the jolly rancher idea too. May try that first, but how many jolly ranchers do you use per ounce?? This would make great gifts. And Lisa B, the catch says For Grown Up Easter Baskets, don't know how many kids go to this sight anyway. Just move along and bake a cake.
