A few simple ingredients take spaghetti from ordinary to extraordinary!
With my family’s crazy schedules during the week, 30-minutes meals are a necessity for me. I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to go through the drive-thru when you’re short on time. If you have a box of spaghetti and good-quality canned tomatoes in your pantry, you can make a meal in only 30 minutes!

There’s just something special about a simple tomato sauce. Here I’ve given my basic tomato sauce recipe a tiny kick by adding chili-flavored olive oil. I adore flavored oils because they not only bring big flavor to your dishes, but they save steps in the kitchen. (Don’t worry. There’s only enough chili-flavored oil in this sauce to give a hint of heat, but it’s not so spicy that your kids won’t eat it.) I’ve also switched things up by replacing traditional basil with rosemary, which gives a nice woody flavor. Add a side salad and a baguette to this meal, and you’re on your way to rock star mom status!
