Jump start your fall festivities with adults by serving apple crisp shooters spiked with bourbon!
Apple crisp has got to be my favorite apple dessert. It tastes just like warm apple pie, but it doesn’t take all afternoon to make.
For this crisp, I made it boozy by adding bourbon. Then I top it with fresh whipped cream that has been spiked with even more bourbon!

To make these little shooters, I first made a traditional apple crisp in a large 9 x 13 baking dish. I used Fuji apples in this recipe. Honeycrisp apples are another favorite, but any firm apple will do. Tart apples like Granny Smiths also work well. I usually just buy what’s on sale or in season.
After the crisp bakes, I spoon it into shot glasses and top it with cream that I whipped and spiked with bourbon. It’s a delicious, simple little treat that will impress dinner guests. To make these shooters even boozier, try adding a bit more bourbon on top off the apple crisp in the glasses before topping with cream.
