Choose turnips that are smooth, round and firm, with fresh tops.
How to Prepare
Cut off tops. Wash turnips; peel thinly. Leave whole, or cut into 1/2-inch pieces.
How to Cook Conventionally
Boil: Whole-covered 25 to 30 minutes. Pieces-covered 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
Steam: Pieces-covered 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
How to Microwave
