A hybrid vegetable that is a cross between broccoli and Chinese kale. Also known as broccolini, baby broccoli is different from traditional broccoli in that the stems are more slender and tender, making it completely edible. The flowerets are smaller and look like asparagus tips. Baby broccoli has a milder, sweeter flavor than regular broccoli. Because growing and harvesting it is more intensive, baby broccoli is also more expensive.
How to Use
Cook and use as you would regular broccoli. Watch the cook time because baby broccoli will cook faster.
