cups packed brown sugar

cup butter or margarine, melted

tablespoon vanilla

cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

teaspoons baking powder

cup chopped walnuts
1
cup white vanilla baking chips
1/2
cup white vanilla baking chips, melted

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • 2 In large bowl, beat brown sugar, butter, vanilla and eggs with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon. Stir in flour and baking powder until well blended. Stir in walnuts and 1 cup baking chips. Spread in pan.
  • 3 Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and center is set. Cool completely, about 1 hour. Drizzle with melted chips. Let stand until set. For bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows.

So easy and sooooo good! I used white choc. chips but think dark would be much better.Also didn't drizzle choc. on top.I took them to a party and everyone asked for the recipe.New go to recipe!

These were very good! I used white choc. chips instead of vanilla though and they turned out wonderful! I also didn't drizzle extra choc. on top too.

It was a great recipe. but the chocolate that I drizzled on top just peeled off. Otherwise, they were very moist and chewy. Very yummy!
