Turn store-bought jam into a fresh fruit-laden topping with this 7-minute recipe!

Ingredients

1
jar (12 ounces) strawberry jam
1
cup quartered fresh or frozen (thawed and drained) strawberry
2
tablespoons butter or margarine
2
tablespoons water

Directions

  • 1 Heat all ingredients, stirring occasionally, until butter is melted and topping is warm.

Expert Tips

You can prepare this with raspberry jam and fresh or frozen raspberries, too.

You’ll want to have plenty of this versatile sauce on hand. Leftovers are yummy over ice cream, pancakes, waffles, pound cake, angel food cake or sliced bananas, peaches or melon.
