Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, cut in half
  • 1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur
  • 1 bottle (750 milliliters) dry white wine, chilled
  • 1 bottle (1 liter) sparkling water or mineral water, chilled
  • Whole strawberries, if desired
  • Mint leaves, if desired

Steps

    In blender, place strawberry halves and liqueur. Cover; blend on high speed about 30 seconds or until smooth.

    Pour about 3 tablespoons strawberry mixture over ice in each of 8 glasses. Stir about 1/3 cup wine and 1/2 cup mineral water into each glass.

    Garnish side of glass with whole strawberry and mint leaves.

    Use orange juice for the liqueur and nonalcoholic wine or white grape juice for the wine.

    Serving a crowd? Blend several batches of the berry mixture a couple hours ahead of serving time and store in your fridge.
