For the best flavor, buy corn the day you plan to serve it. Keep it cold until you're ready to cook it.
You can also microwave corn on the cob. Husk the corn, and place each ear on microwave-safe plastic wrap or waxed paper. Brush the corn with the butter mixture, then wrap. Microwave 4 ears of corn 6 to 8 minutes, turning once. Let stand 2 minutes. Repeat with remaining corn.
