Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz) glass jelly jar or jar with tight-fitting lid
  • 3 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
  • 3 tablespoons seasoned salt
  • 3 tablespoons dried basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 tablespoons dried rosemary leaves
  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

Steps

    In jar, layer ingredients, or mix ingredients and pour into jar.

    Seal jar; tie with decorative ribbon.

    The spice rub is perfect for sprinkling on meat or fish before grilling or roasting.
  • tip 2
    The rub makes a great marinade, too. Simply apply the rub to meat, poultry or fish, place in a container or plastic bag, then coat with some olive oil. Refrigerate at least 20 minutes to marinate before cooking.
