Created in 1894 by a bartender at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, the Rob Roy is a classic and sophisticated cocktail.

Ingredients

  • Ice cubes or crushed ice
  • 3 tablespoons Scotch whisky (1 1/2 oz)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sweet vermouth (3/4 oz)

Steps

    In martini shaker with ice, shake whisky and vermouth until blended. Pour into chilled martini glass, straining out ice.
