Quick and Easy Apple Fritters

I was trying to create an easy apple fritter. This fit the bill. Although not quite as good as a bakery fritter; it satisfies the yearning for one.The apple pie filling is the secret to its yumminess.

Ingredients

2
cups Bisquick
1/2
teaspoon cinnamon
1/4
cup sugar
1
egg
2/3
cup milk
2
cups apple pie filling
4
cups oil
powdered sugar and/or syrup

Directions

  • 1 Heat oil in a deep pot to 350-375 degrees F.
  • 2 Mix Bisquick, cinnamon and sugar; add egg and milk and mix just till blended. Stir in pie filling.
  • 3 Drop by small spoonfuls into deep hot fat. Turn and fry until golden brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.
  • 4 Serve warm sprinkled with powdered sugar or with syrup. (I prefer powdered sugar)
