pork tenderloin (about 1 lb)

teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon paprika

large onion, thinly sliced (2 cups)
1/4
teaspoon sugar
  • 1 Cut pork into 1/2-inch slices. Sprinkle both sides of pork with salt and paprika.
  • 2 Heat 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook pork in skillet 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, until no longer pink in center. Remove pork from skillet; keep warm. Wipe out skillet.
  • 3 Heat same skillet over medium-high heat. Cook onion in skillet 1 minute, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in sugar. Cook about 3 minutes longer, stirring frequently, until onion is soft and golden brown. Spoon over pork.

Expert Tips

Be sure the meat you purchase is labeled pork tenderloin, not pork loin. The tenderloin is more tender than the loin.

this dish was a good idea... but i got a little creative and added apples and mushrooms to it and wow did that make this dish pop, it was really good, so good that i am now going to make it again!!!!
