cups uncooked farfalle (bow-tie) pasta or 2 oz uncooked soba (buckwheat) noodles

lb beef boneless sirloin, about 1/2 inch thick, cut into 2 pieces

teaspoon coarsely ground pepper

tablespoons tomato sauce

tablespoon red wine vinegar

teaspoon chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4
teaspoon sugar
1
small onion, chopped (1/4 cup)

medium bell pepper, chopped (3/4 cup)
  • 1 Cook and drain pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • 2 Meanwhile, rub both sides of beef pieces with coarsely ground pepper. Heat 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook beef in skillet 8 to 12 minutes, turning once, until almost done.
  • 3 Add remaining ingredients except pasta to skillet. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cook uncovered about 5 minutes or until beef is medium doneness (160ºF). Mix vegetables with pasta; top with beef.
