Elvis certainly wasn’t the only fan of peanut butter and bananas. The popular combo gets a tasty upgrade in this quick, low-fat appetizer recipe.
container (8 oz) whipped cream cheese spread
cup creamy peanut butter
round buttery crackers
medium fresh strawberries
In medium bowl, mix cream cheese, peanut butter, sugar and vanilla. Spread about 1 1/2 teaspoons cream cheese mixture on each cracker.
Cut each strawberry lengthwise in half; cut each half into 3 wedges. Cut each banana lengthwise in half, then cut crosswise into 12 slices. Place 1 banana slice and 1 strawberry wedge on each cracker.
Mix the cream cheese mixture up to 1 day ahead and store in the refrigerator until it's time to assemble the appetizer.
