1 3/4: cups Original Bisquick® mix

1/3: cup sugar

1/3: cup milk

3: tablespoons butter or margarine, melted

2: teaspoons finely shredded lemon peel

1/8: teaspoon ground nutmeg

2: eggs

1/2: cup thinly sliced strawberry

1: kiwifruit, peeled and chopped

Save $$$ on your favorite brands

1 Heat oven to 375°F. Grease 9-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray.
2 In medium bowl, stir together all ingredients except fruit. Gently stir in fruit. Spread batter in pan.
3 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.

I made this from leftover blueberry pancake batter. I added sugar, butter and some peaches and then baked it. It turned into a great cake that the kids ate and enjoyed (they didn't like the pancakes - who knew!?!). So breakfast was redeemed and I have a new recipe. Next time I'll save it for dessert and serve it with whipped cream :)
