EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Bean patties are more delicate than ground beef patties, so hold down your exuberance when turning them over with a spatula--use a gentle touch. These bean patties make great California burgers. Serve on hamburger buns topped with slices of raw onion, lettuce, juicy tomato slices and mayonnaise.

This is definitely a 5 star recipe. My whole family enjoyed the Italian Bean Cakes. I cooked them in a nonstick skillet and avoided using the oil. The Bean cakes held together very nicely.
