Iced Applesauce Cake

Iced Applesauce Cake

Nothing says "down home" quite like an extra-moist applesauce cake. This one is slathered with a delicious, warm powdered sugar frosting.

It rose to the top of the pan for me and it was really good, not too moist either; although I used chunky applesauce. Not too sure why the other reviewer used any baking soda though. I'll make it again.

It didn't raise higher than brownies and was so moist it tasted more like bread pudding than cake. I think If I make it again I will put 2 teaspoons of baking soda in it.
