GF Brownies with Walnuts topped with a Cream Cheese Coconut layer

 

- Chocolate Layer

box Betty Crocker Gluten Free Brownie Mix

1/4

cup butter, melted

eggs

2

tablespoons hot water

- Cream cheese layer

4

ounces cream cheese

2

tablespoons sugar

2

tablespoons egg beater(equivalent to 1/2 egg) - can also use a tbsp cornstarch

- Add Ins

cup chopped walnuts, optional

1/2

cup flaked sweetened coconut

• 1 Spray a 10 to 12 inch shiny baking pan with oil spray.
• 2 Combine the Chocolate layer until blended with a wire whisk.
• 3 Stir in chopped walnuts.
• 4 Spread the batter in the pan.
• 5 Mix Cream Cheese Layer until blended. Spread the Cream Cheese Layer over the Chocolate Layer
• 6 Sprinkle the coconut over the Cream Cheese Layer
• 7 Bake at 350 F for about 35 to 40 minutes. Do the toothpick test in the center to make sure it is not runny in the center. The coconut will brown.
• 8 Allow to cool in pan. Cut into 16 squares.
