Garlic and Thyme Grilled Sirloin

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup steak sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 (1 1/2-lb.) boneless beef sirloin steak

    Heat gas or charcoal grill. In small bowl, combine all ingredients except steak; mix well. Brush both sides of steak with some of sauce mixture; reserve remaining mixture.

    When grill is heated, place steak on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 8 to 13 minutes or until of desired doneness, turning once or twice and brushing occasionally with reserved sauce mixture.

    Cut steak into serving-sized pieces or slices. If desired, serve with additional steak sauce.

  • Keep a spray bottle filled with water near the grill. Use it to douse any flare-ups that might occur.
  • To broil steaks, place on broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as a guide, turning once or twice and brushing occasionally with reserved sauce mixture.
