These whole wheat bagels topped with fruit and yogurt make a delicious and snappy breakfast.
cup diced banana
cup chopped fresh or canned (drained) peaches in juice
cup fresh raspberries
cup orange or vanilla low-fat yogurt
100% whole wheat bagels, split
tablespoon prepared cinnamon-sugar
In small bowl, mix banana, peaches, raspberries and yogurt.
Toast bagels. Sprinkle cinnamon-sugar evenly over warm bagel halves. Top each bagel half with 1/4 cup fruit mixture.
You can use most any fresh fruits in place of the ones listed here--try chopped melon, apple or berries. Eating a whole grain at breakfast sets you up to easily eat three or more grain servings every day.
